![]() I was running XP x86 with limewire and no problems. I installed Vista Ultimate x64. and now limewire crashes when opening, ive tried downloading latest version and evn tried frost wire, same thing happens. I get the old 'Limewire Has stopped working' message from windows. Here are the details it gives me: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: LimeWire.exe Application Version: 1.0.0.2 Application Timestamp: 468e951c Fault Module Name: StackHash_b811 Fault Module Version: 6.0.6001.18000 Fault Module Timestamp: 4791a783 Exception Code: c0000374 Exception Offset: 000aada3 OS Version: 6.0.6001.2.1.0.256.1 Locale ID: 7177 Additional Information 1: b811 Additional Information 2: f8c90d02e7c84d40e03fdddcfd312780 Additional Information 3: dd9c Additional Information 4: a48cc6f62e3624c0507fe52d5cf95cbb Now, I noticed that it only crashed when loading 'Digital Audio Access Protocol' Here is a screenshot: ![]() So I went into my sound control panel and changed my default audio from my Logitech usb headset to the Realtek HD Output. I tried opening limewire, again it crashes, i tried again and again and again and.. you get the picture. But suddenly by some miracle it opens on about the 5th or 6th try. I close it (wanting to try one more time to see if the luck stays up). on clicking 'close' on the limewire taskbar icon, i get the same 'limewire has stopped working' message. But alas it re opens fine. (Realtek HD Output still set as default). So im thinking, maube if I disable the Limewire media player which uses sound hardware, mabe it'll start with my headphones set as default. So I try it and it does. However only for one start up, then I start getting the crash message again. So I go back and set my Realtek HD Output as default again. And now it wont start up, even after 10 tries, whereas it did start up with the Realtek HD Output set as defaut not 20 minutes earlier. So... Any Ideas? Thank you in advance. |

![]() Ok, did some more research and found out that 'Digital Audio Access Protocol' or (DAAP) is the add-on to limewire that allows it to share iTunes libraries or something close to that. Still couldn't find a solution, and Im using the same itunes version as I did when I was running XP. |
