![]() I have downloaded lime wire on two of my computers, one has vista the other windows xp. I have a new gateway desktop yea to do my photos and diveos, trying to download lime wire, have installed and uninstalled dozens of times, it downloads, i click on the desktop icon and a grey html screen pops up asking where to save the files i click on either browse or default and it does nothing, goes nowhere???? |

![]() Try this offline version instead http://www9.limewire.com/download/LimeWireWin-full.exe ![]() If you still have a previous version of LW installed on your computer, go to Start menu -> All Programs -> LimeWire -> Uninstall. Then use this utility Microsoft Windows Install Clean Up to clean up the registry. Then install the version of LW above. ![]() |

![]() Thank You, I tried it and it downloads, and when it gets finished I click on the icon, and the logo appears, then it spins and says 12% html loading.... then a scrren pops up at the top it sames limewire set up wizard save folder and shared folders, telling me to choose a folder where you would your files to be downloaded.....I have tried everything, re naming a folder, using browse, or use default, it does nothing I cannot move off of it. at the bottom it has shared folders legend, two boxes are clicked I cannot un click them one says folder is fully shared including all sub folders the other folders files ad some subfolders are shared. I did not get this screen when I loaded it on the other vista computer? |

![]() Oh .. might be an idea to reinstall Java, again use the offline installer, use MS Windows Clean Up after uninstalling it to clean registry up. Also do steps 5 & 6 here http://www.gnutellaforums.com/window...ng-should.html .. these two steps including Java reinstall usually help overcome the html error loading message. In fact, try steps 1-6 (excluding step 4). Oh & excluding step 2 which would only apply if you had been using LW for some years.
