Cant connect only one bar

:mad2: My connection status wont go over 1 bar. Have LW 4.18.8 that I installed after uninstalling a previous version that developed same problem. I see other people having similar problems, but their fix's don't seem to be working for me. Tried opening ports in windows file sharing no luck! Turned off the firewall still the same.
Operating sys - Dell inspiron 531, AMD 64 processor, vista, dial up, Mcafee security Version8.1 Build 8.1.175 AffId 105-154

Virus scan Version 12.1 build12.1.110 AffID 105-154

Personal firewall Version 9.1 build 9.1.108

Will some one please help me? I have no idea what to do!!!

Dial up is never fast to connect in my previous experience. Try these fixes including replacing the old gnutella.net file -> If LW Will Not Connect (click on the blue link)

I installed limewire pro and I only get one bar and it just won't work. I have a dell computer, windows vista, cable, brighthouse network. plenty of space. I tried uninstalling twice and I get the same results. I disconnected my firewall a few times and that did nothing. I went to a place on my computer regarding my protection and firewall setting and it said it recognizes Lime wire and that could not be the problem. If you could help I would really appreciate it. Thank You

If nothing there helps, post back with your system details.
