Problems when listening to a newly-downloaded song (Vista) I bought a new HP Laptop, with Vista, and bought LimeWire Pro (4.18.6). When I download a song - - no problem. When I listen to it, a female voice comes on periodically throughout the song saying "Music...On Demand". What is this? I never had this problem when I used LimeWire Pro on my old computer. Is it some type of security thing and, if so, how do I get rid of it?! |
Ouch! Sounds like those organisations who spam to stop copyright sharing. Just mistaken choice of file to download by the sounds of it. ;) Try other ones from search results instead. :) OH ... just FYI ... be aware of these file sizes & auto naming techniques: Virus thread: Typical virus spam file sizes - Make a note of them (click on blue link to see) |
Thank you! Dear Lord of the Rings: it worked! That is so weird. I tried downloading a completely different song, and it worked. However, these songs still come with the female voice on it saying "Music...On Demand": B*yonce's "If I were a B*y" and Br*tney Sp*ars "Wom*nizer". Looks like I will have to live without those two. Bummer (and yes, I tried different files of those songs - - still the same thing). |
That's pretty much what it is. Soemone is putting these messages in their files and sharing them that way. It is pretty annoying though. |
