Problem with deleting empty folders Ok, I uninstalled Limewire via Add/Remove Programs. I then searched my hard drive for any remaining files of Limewire, highlighted them all, and tried to delete them. I deleted most of them, but there are 5 empty folders that I cannot delete. They are Incomplete, Limewire, Saved, Shared, and Store Purchased. Every time I try to delete them, it says that the location is not available. Oh, and another interesting thing is that the folders only show up if I search for them. If I try to follow the path it gives me from the search, they aren't there. I also tried reinstalling the program and uninstalling, hoping that when I reinstalled, it would overwrite the folders. No luck =/. Any suggestions on how to get rid of this annoyance? |

The advice for uninstalling LW always used to be - use the uninstaller (start > all programs > LW > uninstall). That's because remnants of LW were often left behind after uninstalling via Add/Remove Programs. Now, the LW Wiki tells people to uninstall via Add/Remove Programs. But it seems like people are still having trouble after doing it that way. Try running CCleaner or Microsoft Windows Install Clean Up If you still can't remove the empty folders, try one of the utilities in this thread (DelinvFile & Unlocker have both worked well for me): http://www.gnutellaforums.com/downlo...elete-all.html |
