Default Lime Wire Connection Lost

I had a connection to Lime Wire for a few days and some how I lost it and can't get it back. I have uninstalled LimeWire and reinstalled several times. I also uninstalled Gnutella and can't seem to find a place where I can download it again with any success.
I have a Dell computer-Windows Vista - Cable hookup-Brighthouse Network. My computer is pretty basic. Do I have to pay for Gnutella??? Not sure. I paid for Lime Wire Pro. Help Please.
Lenny

If you paid for LW Pro, then you will still have the email they sent you with the link to your personal download page (if you purchased pro less than 6 months ago.) That is of course if it was Lime Wire LLC you actually paid. If it was any other company then unfortunately you must have accidentally gone to a scam site pretending to be LW. There's lots of them around; Known Scam Sites (click on link)

No the gnutella network is free to use.

Not sure what you mean you uninstalled Gnutella. Perhaps the LW program, but saying you uninstalled gnutella is like saying you uninstalled a satellite if you connect via satellite connection. Must be a big computer to fit all of gnutella users inside. lol Sorry silly jokes.

If you deleted any email with LW, then access via this page Lime Wire » Support

As for connection problems. Best I can suggest with details at hand is try these tips: If LW Will Not Connect (click on the blue link)

(BTW I moved your thread out of the Phex program section & over to the LW vista section.)

Hello and thank you very much for your help. I do have the e-mail and it was Lime Wire LLC.

What I ment by about gnutella is I was told that I had to have guntella turbo installed on my machine to get Lime Wire to work. And then I was told to uninstall Gnutella and reinstall. I have done this several times and I still can' t get a connection. I did have a connection a few days ago but I lost it when some music started to play and there was no way to shut it off so I just restarted my machine and then I lost my connection to LimeWire. What I mean actually by loseing my connection is I get one small part of the first bar and it says it's trying to connect. I have no idea what I did wrong. But at least I do have the Lime Wire LLC and I did save the e-mial. Any more suggestions, I really appreciate your help with this. Thank you for your time.
Lenny
