Limewire not opening

Hello all, new to the forum. I can't get limewire to open no matter how I try to open the program (via shortcut, from the start menu or right clicking and pressing 'open'.) I am running vist OS, have cable modem. Now the thing is, it used to work fine, then one day it wouldn't open. I have already done the following:
Made sure limewire wasn't already running
Unistalled limewire, downloaded most current version and reinstalled
Uninstalled my java platform, downloaded most current and reinstalled
Then tried unistalling and reinstalling limewire again

Thanks for the reply, I have made some progress, I now get the User Account popup that an indentified program wants to run, and when I click "Allow" then nothing happens.:bangh:

Are you using an Administrator account?

Did you try right clicking on LW's desktop icon > run as administrator?

I don't use Vista but I've heard that the UAC can be a pain.

I don't know what I did to solve the issue, but somewhere in between cleaning up my registry, reinstalling everything again, using different install folder names and whatever else I messed with, it is now fixed. Thanks all for the help.
