I can connect but then it shuts down

I have limewire pro and when I connect to LW it connects for about 30-45 sec then it says a problem has caused the program to stop working and shuts down LW. I have updated my java and reloaded LW, but still having the same problem. I am using vista home and in the past I have not had any trouble LW just all the sudden nodda. Can anyone help?

Which version of LW are you uisng?

Are your Pro benefits still current (ie can you still download Pro for free)? If not, do you have the Pro installer saved?

When you reinstalled Java, did you remove all other Java versions installed before installing the latest version?

If you have time before LW crashes, try some of those fixes.

You could also try a complete uninstall/reinstall of LW & Java & use some cleaner apps in between but I wouldn't like you to lose your Pro version. If you don't have the installer saved or don't have current Pro benefits to download a new free installer then you'd lose the Pro that you have at the moment.

That's why I asked if you have current Pro benefits or an installer saved... I'm assuming that you do, because you said earlier that you reloaded LW - but I'm just checking to make sure

Let me know how you stand with the Pro installer & I'll give you a link with instructions for uninstalling, cleaning etc
