Angry Too much chaff, not enough wheat!!!

Every time I do a search for a particular artist, say "Beatles", I get mostly that name on every line with various words in brackets next to it, eg working, complete. Occasionally there may be a song title included! Why is this? It's misleading (and frustrating) when I see big numbers of results only to find that the "results" are totally meaningless! This didn't used to happen so why is it now? Can anyone enlighten me please?

Like Peerless said, there are heaps of fake & spam files being shared on the network... often by companies who want to sabotage p2p.
The thread below has a lot of info & further links to follow.
Fake files showing up in search results

Try adding extensions like .wma, .mov, .wmv, .au, .zip, .rar to LW's extension filters (tools > options > search > filter file extensions).
You can also add words that you see showing up in the current crop of junk files to LW's keyword filters (tools > options > search > filter keywords)... like working, complete, latest, unreleased, best, version, new etc etc.
Keywords associated with junk files change all the time, so keep adding new words to the keyword filter as you see them cropping up in search results.

And if you still keep seeing crap, try changing ultrapeers (hosts that you connect to in order to search).
In LW tools > advanced tools. In the Host column, you'll see UPs that you're connected to. Check in the Time column & see which ultrapeer has been connected for the longest time.
Right click on that host > Remove. That ultrapeer will be replaced by another. Now start a new search for your file.
If you don't see any improvement in results, remove the next ultrapeer. And so on...

See whether that helps at all
