HELP My limewire installed will not load

I have uninstalled the previous version and reinstalled the new version. I have made sure the program is on my exceptions list on my firewall. I click and see the limewire characture but it soon dissapears and never opens!! Here is the info on my computer
windows vista home premium running microsoft 2008
2.00 gb memory
32 bit operatiing
compaq presario f700 notebook!!
