Confused New to LWP and need help w/ Windows Vista and Permissions

Hi,
So I just downloaded LWP (LimewirePro...I hope thats the right way to make it short), anywho...I downloaded a song, and tried to move it to my portable hard drive to save space. Well I tried to move it and it keeps telling me that I don't have permission to complete that action unless I am an Administrator. Well my Administrator User Account and everyday account are the same and still couldn't move it.

I am really lost and have been doing this for the past three hours and no luck. I haven't seen anyone write anything about this problem (or maybe they have and I didn't realise it...) and am about to throw my laptop across the room...could someone please help me out?

PLEASE!?!?!

Thanks,
Max

have you tried copy pasting to another part of your drive or another drive & trying from there ? Also right-click the file & check permissions on the file. Could also check permissions shown on the external drive see if anything is amiss.

Check permissions of both the folder they are in and the files themselves. Perhaps set them to administrator.

I realise this is a long thread but check this http://www.gnutellaforums.com/downlo...elete-all.html .. one of those utilities has since become shareware.

However, if this issue repeats itself it's something that needs to be solved. My first guess is something to do with how Win 7 & Vista both behave. Example is http://www.gnutellaforums.com/genera...tml#post289927 however that is in reference to the program itself. It might also apply to the downloads however, I don't know.

Ok, thanks...I will give the "Unlocker" a shot and see if it works. If it does, than I will say this...you really are a god among gods and I just might have to set up a shrine in my place just for you...;-)

Ok...so now I am really confused. I just installed that Unlocker device...and restarted my computer to start messing around with that stuff...but now...the crazy thing is (maybe its all the Amp I have been drinking) but its gone...what I was trying to delete is gone. I don't know if I am just wanting to make myself believe its not there or it really is not there...I have no idea. Anywho, thank you for your assistance. You really have been a great help to me.
