Default MS WinWord and PDF shuts down IE, blames Limewire

IE freezes, shuts down and attempts to restart (multiple times) when attempting to download Word or PDF documents. When I run Microsoft Error Reporting the following message appears:
Solve a problem with LimeWire
LimeWire has stopped working properly.

all versions of Limewire, IE, PDF, and WinWord are up-to-date. I have reinstalled Limewire and PDF with no change. Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone know what to do to fix it?
Thanks

Seadetale

It seems like your registry is mixed up or maybe you've picked up some sort of malware.

I would suggest that you uninstall Limewire and your PDF software then run your anti-virus, a registry cleaner, like CCleaner (which is free) and anti-spyware. Afterwards, reinstall LW, PDF software and (for good measure) run your registry cleaner again.

That should sort you out.
