Playback Preview while downloading Just completed upgrade to version 5.5.14 but I can't get a play back when clicking on 'Preview' when a selection is downloading. Attention LW gurus........HELP me................pleeez! :bangh: |
This appears to be a bug with the new version. Same issue for both Windows & Mac versions. It previews NEW downloads fine but not older incomplete files before the update. In meantime, you can right-click the file in download window, choose Locate on Disk, then open the particular file with your regular player. I'd recommend VLC for such be it an audio or video file. ;) |
Playback Preview while downloading Thank you, Lord The strange thing is that I was able to preview while the download was running before I upgraded to version 5.5.14. :Smilywais: |
Yes seems like a bug with the newer update. As I suggested, what you can do is instead of using iTunes to open the audio files, choose VLC - (click on link). To use it to open audio files, you can right-click an audio file & choose Open with ..., click Choose Program ... , then choose VLC, and check the option with Always use the selected program to open this kind of file. VLC can play more audio formats than iTunes can & is highly reliable for finding if a file is bad/corrupt/fake. And by using VLC, will mean no partial preview files end up being imported into iTunes. |
Playback Preview my Lord, Super suggestion! I wasn't aware of VLC before. :thankyou: :aweof: |
