ACK! New versoin of limewire doesn't keep track of in progress downloads when closed

When I had the distribution version of 2.3.3 it would keep track of my downloads even when i closed hte program and pick up where I left off but when I compiled 2.3.4 myself it won't. Is this a bug? What's the story?

This also happens for me running distribution version 2.2.3
