Default IE crashes if loaded with Limewire running on XP

I have XP. If I open IE whilst I have Limewire running and type in the address bar or in a txt box, XP gives this message:

Program has encountered a problem and needs to close. Sorry for the inconvenince.

All IE windows close. Limewire carrys on as though now't has happened.

I have got all the XP/IE updates installed. I have not got a clue why this is happening.

Can anyone help me please?

Once again. . .

-------------------------------------------------------------

There are four ways around this.

1. Delete Cydoor at
Windows\System\cd_clint.dll (Win 9x/ME)
Winnt\System32\cd_clint.dll (Win2K/NT)
Windows\System32\cd_clint.dll (WinXP)
or with Ad-Aware (www.lavasoftusa.com)

2. Replace cd_clint.dll with a dummy file; a benign dll which tells the host application that all is well, but nothing more and displays no ads (Useful to maintain the ability to use KaZaA, but not necessary for the recent versions of LimeWire) available at www.cexx.org/cd_clint.zip extract to said directories above.

3. Disable the WebScan module in McAfee VirusScan. It's not too useful, but is still nice to have kickin around.

4. Buy LimeWire Pro. It doesn't access Cydoor.

Hope it helps,

I've posted this now five times. Please people, read old posts & do use the forum search. If a thread helps, just say something on the old thread like "thanx". If the prob is still a current issue, the "thanx" will bump it and it will be seen by others with the problem.

Just my two cents.

Actually thats a good idea with the word doc. I'd do that myself, but I never seem to forget a computer fix, unlike everthing else I learned all year. Which sux when exams are in one week and all you know is how to make a computer work.
