strange limewire search behavior hello, i am relatively new to limewire and gnutella and have used other things before. i wondered how to do proper searches as i'm always getting kinda trashy results. example: i'm searching for something very common like: type: Audio Artist: Britney Spears Title: Crazy what i get is a lot of britney spears but also stuff like Crazy Town - Butterfly this is of cause not what i want. i want to have a logical AND between the words not OR. is that a drawback of gnutella/limewire or are there tricks to do better searches ? thanks for your help bnz |
There might be some clients out there that don't return the results you requested. So this is not going to change as long some people keep on using outdated and buggy clients. |
oh well...if this is the problem why doesn't limewire check whether the results returned are the ones desired ? limewire could just hide them for me as they are obviously nonsense... |
Yeah, but they are so rare, it usually doesn't make much of a difference. |
