Default shut down problems

I'm using Limewire 2.4 on Windows ME. Everytime I try to shut down, I get the error message "Javaw has caused an error in Kernell32.DLL. Javaw will now close.".........But I can't close it. I have to restart the computer...Any suggestions?

Default Java

Try downloading the latest Java client from sun microsystems 1.4 i think they're up to. get it here http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4/download.html

10 to 1 it will fix your problem right up.

Thumbs up more help

I realize that you said you weren't getting any error messages; however, this may help you troubleshoot your problem some: http://support.microsoft.com/default...;en-us;Q315854 with as buggy as Window ME is, it is a good site to bookmark. You might find your answers there.

BTW: have you tried using any of the other gnutella clients to see if you have a similar problem.

There is a problem with Matrox video cards and windows millenium .... what sort of video card do you have?

Have you d/l'd the latest software updates to windows from the microsoft site?

just a few q's to help.

No I DO get an error message. I stated it earlier. ....Thanks for the link. I'll check it out. ..I'll see if I get the same problem on my Win 98 machine. I think this has started since I downloaded Limewire 2.4. Yes I update Microsoft automatically. ..Acually I'm going to try Gnucleus. Thanks for your help.
