Copying from Windows  I have Windows Media Player, loaded a lot of own CD's to it and now i'm trying to transfere them to Limewire Pro to share them, I can't figure out how to do this. I am able to save Limewire Pro shared files to Windows Media Player. Also, don't know how to get them from WMA to MP3's, is that necessary? Sorry, but very new to all this, hope you can help!.... |
There is a distinct danger that you WMA files are copy protected. In which case they won't play on any but your own computer. Microsoft have gone to some effort to prevent anyone converting WMA files to any other format - another copy protection feature. Provided that you are sure the files are not copyprotected (there should be an option in WMP to turn copy-protection off) then there is no problem sharing WMA files. MP3 is a less restricted standard and consequently preferable to WMA in my opinion. You can add any number of folders to share in LimeWire - Tools|Options|Sharing and browse to your music folder. Thanks for the reply, I have tried your suggestion, files do copy but, it brings over the full folder and displays as c:full file "my doc's", also, it dosen't show the artist, just track No's and song. I have gone and done a search and have found a MP3 Power Encoder for XP, would installing this work? |
