Help With Internal Player Alright, here is the situation: I downloaded winamp 3 in which to play my music files from limewire. Automatically it configures the internal player to be winamp. After a few days of frustration I finally decide to delete the pesky winamp, and now whenever I try to launch a file it asks where studio.exe is located, which is obviously from winamp. I want to re-configure my internal player to be RioPort Audio Manager, but after desperately searching around in RioPort, Limwire, and my computer in general, there is no place to be found to do such a thing. I'm hoping someone will have an answer to this problem. Oh and I have Windows 98 Second Edition if that helps. |
I'm not familiar with that player, but they usually have some kind of option to open file types.... but if not... You can associate any of your files to open with a player of your choice. Open Win Explorer, find a music file and highlight it..hold down the 'Shift key' (this must be held down for the whole time your doing this until you get the window up that you need) right-click on the music file.. Select 'Open With'. Now you will have a window showing all the progs on your system, select the player you want to use and don't forget to select 'Always use this prog to open this type of file' Done ;) |
