startup wizard keeps coming back
 

I use the free 2.7.3 version and it seems like my startup settings can't be saved somehow. Everytime I start using Limewire I get the startup wizard and have to set up everything again.
Any idea (except buying the pro version :-) ?

im having the same problem.
win 98, java is installed, limewire 2.7.3 light (not pro), all win98 servicepacks are installed, cable connection.

Same scenario, same problem - Win 98 w/all updates, Java, LimeWireWin international version 2.7.3, and setup settings don't get preserved, even after uninstalling/reinstalling. I uninstalled 2.7.3 and went back to 2.6.5, which seems to work more reliably.

The reason for this behaviour is a bug in the installer. It creates a subdirectory named "Limewire.props" instead of a file.
So just delete this subdirectory and create an empty file instead, named "Limewire.props". Next time you start Limewire it will save its settings there.
