Default limewire.exe has generated errors, windows 2000, help!

hi,
i recently upgraded to windows 2000 pro, and limewire worked fine when first launched after installation, but wouldn start again after instead i get the message that 'limewire.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows', if i install it again, it works again only that first launch time, than i get the same thing.
does anyone know what is causing this or how to fix it?
any help, please,
