Limewire resets screen saver to "none"

I don't know if this is exclusive to Win2K but this is my problem. Every time that I run Limewire, my screen saver settings get reset to "none". I know that it is the limewire program that is causing this problem as I can shutdown all others and then start limewire and the setting gets reset. If I don't run limewire, it doesn't. Is this a known problem or is it considered a problem at all, does it do that purposefully so that the screen saver doesn't cut off the downloads?
Second problem might be related or not. Ever since I installed limewire, my energy saving settings have been disabled completely. I can set to have my monitor shutdown for say 45 minutes, but it nevers happens. It doesn't get reset to none like the screen saver, rather it is set and just doesn't work. This might have been caused by something else, but I think it could be related.
If anyone can help, it would be appreciated. Thanks.

I never heard of that. Try deinstalling all bundled software that came with LimeWire. Are you running the latest version? If not, try that.

I uninstalled limeware. Sutdown and restarted the computer. I then reinstalled the current version 2.9.8 (which had been installed previously also). Set my screen saver settings to the windows log on screen saver. I then started limeware and checked my screensaver settings. Unfortunately, they were reset to none just as before.
