music 370. KB mp3, message says file extension does not match file format?

I am down loading music from LimeWire, but I can't play or record it. The files say 378.0 KB mp3. Is there something I need to do so I can play or record them on a cd?

.mp3's are about 4 megs for an average song--looks like you're downloading something else. Check the file sizes of stuff that has the same name. (I usually check the "filter html" preference to stop a lot of these results).

There are people on LimeWire trying to get you to download solicitation junk that looks like what you are looking for. You generally can tell because it's not the right size like StarTiger said.
