Default "Save directory is invalid"

Hi All

I'm so frustrated with this software, I dumped the PRO d/l the newest freeware version, and the problem persists, so not going to pay again until I can resolve it.

Whenever the kids sign in, keep getting the above message.

Have deleted every version since 2.3.1 along with all folders, and d/l the 2.9.10.

Fired it up today, and same thing.

Created a folder off root just for d/l to see what would happen, and bingo, back to same. Change it to something like default and it'll work for this session, but next time the computer is fired up, back to "save directory is invalid"

Running WXP, all updates current. Suspect it's something MS has added, as it worked fine for well over a year, but has just started occurring about 6 months ago.

Sorry if I seem to have rambled, but not much for fixing these darned machines.

Thanks
Mark

Default

Same problem here, for some reason windows lists all folders as 'read-only', and this is unchangeable.

Beats me. I can no longer even start Limewire.
