![]() I just installed LimeWire on Windows 2000 Pro. The processes LimeShop.exe, wjview.exe, and 2 of javaw.exe are using about 95% of my CPU, with the system using the rest. There are no other applications open other than LimeWire. As a result, even screen redraws are taking minutes. What do I adjust? |

![]() You might try another version of Java just for Limewire. I have had the best luck with 1.3.1_04 with Limewire. I use Java version 1.4.1 for my other applications but I have had trouble on an XP machine with 1.4.1 and Limewire Be sure to open the console on 1.3.1_04 and uncheck the browser tab for Netscape and IE then open the console on your existing version of Java and make sure they are checked there. I hope that will help you. Norm |

![]() this still doesn't help. the javaw.exe process takes 100% of my CPU within minutes. I don't see anything on the console for the control panel which will allow me to control this. Is this SOP for Java? Many Java processes seem to be very slow, especially in launching. |
