Default Strange Leaf Connection

Limewire 3.5.8 Pro Connected me as a leaf but very strangely enough gave me around 32 Ultrapeer Connections. When I reconnected it was fixed. Any Ideas what might have caused this. (WinXP) And yes b4 you ask are you sure you were a leaf or something like that I am positive i was a leaf.

This has happened to me a couple of times on 3.5.2 Pro. I can't reliably repeat it and I haven't a clue what caused it.

We've seen this behaviour occasionally. We're not positive what's causing it, and we think it's sufficiently rare as to not be a large problem. If you do experience it often, please try and figure out what was common among the various times.

Thanks.

I have seen this same thing happen in LimeWire 3.5.8 on Windows 98 Second Edition. It occurs when I change the shutdown option from "Minimize to Systray" to "Shutdown after transfers" and then have some kind of transfer going, whether it is uploads or downloads, and then repeatedly close the LimeWire window and restore it by double-clicking its systray icon. After 2 or 3 times of this, (sometimes more, sometimes less), LimeWire ends up trying to connect to 32 ultrapeers, in *leaf* mode, instead of the normal 4 or 5 connections it makes.

There's still a minor racing condition in the ConnectionManager. Something about the keepAlive value not always being reset when the LimeWire becomes a leaf. I'm sorry I can't be any more specific but I cannot access my linux harddrive with the LimeWire sources at the moment.
