Default Moving files to hard drive

Windows 2000 Professional user here. How do i move files from limewire shared folder to a location of my choice on my hard drive? I can't save the files as mp3's anywhere else. I want to be able to download them to my Windows media player playlist without having to rely on the limewire shared folder. I tried moving them to my windows media library, then deleting the files from my limewire shared folder, but then it doesn't work.
