Have been using Lime Wire without problem until the last six days or so. Now I get an error message every time I logon. It reads as follows:

"This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut dow.

If the problem persits, contact the program vendor."

The details read as follows:

I am running Windows 98, and Lime Wire 1.4b and have already rebooted many times, and reinstalled the application a couple of times, but none of it seems to work.

I am lost and somewhat clueless about this. I would appreciate any assistance regarding this matter, as I am a Lime Wire fan and would like to remain a regular user.

I am having the same problem. Everytime I get connected, i get a window that says "This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down..."

My friend has the same version of limewire - i copied the install program from his hard drive, and he isnt having this problem.

Every time I try to re-download the program from limewire.com, it freezes at 99%. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it - doesn't help.

WHAT TO DO??????????????? Please post a reply!!!!
