Win 200 Hangs everytime I close Limewire

I'm using LimeWire Pro 3.6.15. I have jvm version 1.4.2_01-b06 installed (though I'm not sure if that is what Limewire is using.)

Every time I close Limewire, my Windows 2000 Pro OS hangs. I have to power down the machine.

Yes, I have Service Pack 4 and all the latest security patches. I'm very familiar with Java programming, and this really feels like something in Limewire is updating the GUI from a non-AWT thread, or that some native jni code is puking badly when the VM shutsdown.

The only thing I can think of that's remotely odd about my environment is that I'm running an AMD processor.

I'm able to run many other Java 1.4.x apps without this sort of crash. The crash happens EVERY time I shutdown Limewire. This did not occur with an older 2.x version on Limewire on the same machine.
