can't play avi files !!!!!

hey ya people, I have a little trouble with avi files. I can't play them as they return an error saying " No combinations of filters could be found to render the stream". I am using Windows Media player 7.

Does anyone know how to fix this???

Are you trying to play avi files that have "DiVX" in the filename? If so, you more than likely need to install the divx codec. I use 3.1.1 alpha, and it works fine. I'm not sure of the address, but I'm sure someone here does. :-)

I'm having the same problem. I suspect the files are corrupt in some way.
