so it doesn't open up WMP open it, go in tools, options, file types and make shure that the file type that you are opening is not checked click in the check box to uncheck it

You don't want to do that. Believe me. Unless you have a nice amount of RAM and the latest Java (you should always have the latter anyways); Limewire's .mp3 player is, how should I put this (without offending the devs :P), uh, not top notch. It can cause song skipping, resulting in users thinking that it's the song that's actually bad.
As for the opens-in-another-player-when-launched issue, it's not one (an issue I mean). The player plays .mp3. It will open any other format that is playable using your prefered player.
I, for one, use neither the Library's playlist function nor the .mp3 player as my preferred .mp3 player (only to preview stuff). Find the shared folder, create a shortcut if you want (although I heard that in Windoze they can cause problems...) and play the files through there. And thope that the devs will sharpen that .mp3 player in time for the next LW release.

It depends where your mp3's are. To my knowledge you can only open mp3's that are in your shared folders (unless you want to trial one that's dwnlding.) (Happy to be corrected here!) Your shared folders will be listed in your LW Library window. Just press the arrow to open the folder or just click onto it (depending how many levels down the mp3s are) & your mp3's should be listed in the pane to the right. Click onto an mp3 & press launch. Once launched it can be controlled by the media player control.

If you want to add xtra shared folders, go to your LW menu Tools-Options & Sharing. There you can press Add & direct lw to where this new folder is. Then press Open & Apply & ok. Go to your LW Window & press Refesh & your new share folder will have been added to the list.

Hope this helps.

Actually, I just realised you can put the files into your incomplete folder & they can be played from there. That's if you don't want to share them (or perhaps you're aleady sharing your incomplete folder.)

you would do that in limewire but in windows media player so it isn't the default, so just open Windows media player and fallow what I told you in the first post.
