Default LimeWire isn't opening

Basically my problem is that my limewire won't open after I double click the exe. It just stopped working randomly, and I've reinstalled multiple times and checked my firewalls but nothings works. Any ideas as what to do?

Angry Same here too

You're not alone. I get no error message, No nothing. Just a quick blink of the timeglass and then nothing. just nothing. I talked with HP, my computer maker and they said it wasn't the computer. It's Limewire. Frostwire does the same thing.

What versions of Java do you have on your computer ??

Goto Add/Remove programmes and see how many and what versions you have.

You could try remove all the Java Apps and download the offline version of 5.11 and delete the limewire preferences folder and see if that works ...

Thumbs up It worked

YEEHA! Thank you so much. I had Java 6 update 2 and 3. I deleted them both and I think I installed Java 5.11 not too sure but it's working now.

Hmmm... I recently had the same problem. I had multiple installations of Java, and have now installed version 1.6.0 (build 1.6.0_03-b05).

Read the thread LimeWire isn't opening

Could this problem maybe be more related to the multiple installations of Java rather than which version we install?
