Default Not sure

Not sure about the Java, I assume that I google it and go from there. Yes I share a lot, no good if one doesn't play by the rules. I have the latest limewire as well but that isn't an issue becxause when I rolled back from SP2 I had an earlier version and it made no difference. Incidentally I have Powerquest drive image [a wonderfull program] so roll back was not a problem on my 2 hard drive machine but I have an older rig with one hard drive and I kept an image on a usb portable hard drive which SP2 didn't recognize so I can't install the earlier image off it. The result is that I'm stuck with SP2. This software is very difficult to remove. I went to the M$ site and tried all theirt tricks but to no avail. If I go through RUN then it says it will take out SP1 as well. Might as well just reload if I do that. What a Misery. If I had the bucks I'd go back to the Mac in a flash! I'm goin for the Java now, I'll check back.

Default Back again

Well I stuck in the Java. I'm pretty sure I had it in the first place. The download didn't appear with a save box so I couldn't tell if it went in or not but I got the Java icon in the tray so I'm pretty sure it's in. Java has always been a mystery to me an I am not any more enlightened.
However I did get the file in question after it installed so a victory of sorts. I got it from a cable connection, the T3 ones were still corrupted so beware the fast connections seems to be the message here.
Thanks for all your help.

Regards,

Renoman

There is nothing wrong with your Java installation, nor is there anything wrong with SP2, and there is nothing wrong with Limewire either.

Yes, the files are intentionally corrupted. But it is not MS that is doing it. It is RIAA. They have been recently renting space on servers and placing thousands of intentionally corrupted files onto P2P networks to discourage downloading of copyrighted material.

So don't worry, there is nothing wrong with your Windows installation, or your Java installation, or your Limewire installation.

Many of them are not really corrupted. They can be retrieved from the incomplete folder and played normally.
