Installing Java runtime problems

When I install the client nothing seems to happen during the "Installing Java runtime evironment" stage. What gives???

I recommend giving the beta version of LimeWire 1.6d a try, as the Windows installer is significantly overhauled. You can get LimeWire 1.6d beta at:

http://www.limewire.com/index.jsp/download_beta

Please let us know if this version gives you any more problems.

My personal advice:

Get the Java JDK 1.3.1 (I know, it´s 30 Megs but it´s worth it) and run Phex instead of Limewire.

The JDK enables you to run virtually any pure java software and there is a whole wealth of it. The installation is totally simple and you only have to do it once.

Greets,
Konrad
