phalanx is flying high
Exclamation stumped my LW is on steroids.....

hey there, i am getting this odd situation with my LW client lately. i run 4.0.8 (not pro) and when it connects it connects to 20-26 hosts each time (as opposed to the normal 4). in the stats window i see total hosts = 1200+ (as opposed to the normal 200 max) and about 1000GB of files available(as opposed to 150-200BGB).

i should be happy with the grip my client is getting on the network but im not, due to:

d/ls getting slower (i now get 1/6th of the regular speed)
the connections hog my bandwidth

my config is LW 4.0.8, winxp sp2( i dont get problems connecting with the 10 connections/port limit thing), cable

is this normal or a new feature? is anyone else getting into the same situation? and how can i limit the connections bcoz it aint helping me...?

thanks a lot
