I've been monitoring the forum to see if I could get any useful info and help when I can - I've seen various problems.

I've been using LimeWire for a couple of months and only had a few little gremlins - but today what a picnic.

This happened:
Double click Limewire-

Illegal operation thingy
java thingy
(kept both the details just in case)

Rebooted-

Tried loading Limewire again and everything normal for 30 secs - then the whole of the text & column headers turned into symbols - in every window.

Rebooted-

Then I had text (coloumn headers) I was connected to hosts but no search window - nothing in my library, no incoming searches.

Rebooted-

Got symbols again - no text.

Rebooted-

Thank god - it's all OK now - working as normal.

Took 4 reboots to do it.

Just before all this happened, I had just downloaded an update for MSN Messenger.

I don't know whether this had anything to do with it but until then everything was normal.

I've seen many problems over the weeks but never so many all at once on one comp.

Just thought you might like to add this to the list of gremlins.

But like I said - IT'S ALL OK NOW - I JUST KEPT REBOOTING (and praying)

Thank you for posting regarding these issues. We have heard of some of these problems (the garbled text in particular), but we have not been able to reproduce them ourselves. I will try to find any know bugs with the JRE and anything that MSN Messenger installs.
