I finally connected to Limewire, but the 'search' button won't work - like, it's gray/is grayed over, i can't click it. i'm on an ethernet network, does that have something to do with it?

--i just realized that in the bottom left corner next to the red button it says that it's sharing 1 file, but in the limewire titlebar it says "disconnected / no files available" AND the search button won't work. is it connected or what?!

help would be MUCH appreciated-

if you are on a university ethernetwork, filesharing might be limited or blocked. Ask around and find out if others on your network can connect.

The search button only works once you are connected to the gnutella network.
