Installin LimeWire 1.6b

I downloaded LimeWire 1.6b, however, when I try to install through the install shield wizard, I get a messsage that says "LimeWire is now installing Java2TM Runtime Environment, v1.3.1 This may take a few minutes..... I have a cable modem and hours later, it still has not installed. I have new Dell computer with Windows ME as the operating system. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?
