I'm having the same problems also. Limewire was working fine for me for quite some time, and now has taken over my computer and occasionally restarts it (i know it is limewire because my computer will not do that if it isn't on).

Default Restarting

I just installed limewire version 4.0.8 tonight and since the two hours i've had it running it has restarted my computer 3 times. So far i love limewire, but if the restarting keeps up then i'm just going to delete the program off of my hard drive. Any ideas on what's going on??

Try turning off the automatic reboot.
Then you'll get the "Blue Screen of Death", from which you can get your error message. Seems usually to be a conflicy with a .dll or network driver.

Absolutely correct about the disabling of 'Automatic Reboot' !!!
Almost always a disaster to allow this 'funckshun'...

What has not been mentioned is whether or not the 'Automatic Windows Update' is also enabled AND/OR whether or not Windoze XP Service Pack 2 has been installed...

See here if there is any doubt...

and for those with strong constitutions !!!...

Of course, if you have not yet been a victim of Service Pack 2 the above will not even make fun reading on a cold rainy night !
