![]() Hello all, I have a quick few questions please if I may. My children decided to download Limewire without my approval the other day. I am trying to uninstall the software but to no avail. When i go to add/remove programs, I hilite the Limewire program, hit add/remove. Windows attempts to starrt the process of removing, gets almost half way thru the wizard then up pops an error message saying" Error # 0x80040707, Desription: Hit OK" I hit ok and then it tells me access denied. I cannot get the Limewire software from trying to startup every time I start windows. Please someone help me get rid of this software. I even tried to go into system tools and go back to a previous date and it will not even let me go back to the previous month. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. |

![]() I'm not a windows user (like a tropic islander telling an eskimo how to keep cool.) Next time LW starts, go to LW's menu Tools>Options>Connections & untick option to connect on startup. Press Apply & OK buttons. As for deleting the app, I'm not too sure. I guess you could repair LimeWire using the Add/Remove Programs utility & try again. Else try: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=290301 Add/Remove programs is the normal way to do it! Last edited by Lord of the Rings; November 8th, 2004 at 09:15 AM. |
