epilepsy when i first installed LW on my PC about a week ago it ran just fine....now when i open the LW window my screen flashes wildly when the mouse is moved....i have changed nothing with my video card/drivers between now and the time LW was installed....help |
The excitement of installing LW can cause flashes of excitement. Perhaps you should wear sunny's (sun glasses.) Make sure you have the most recent update of Java & don't be delusioned by the LW's interface flashing when you hover the mouse/cursor over mp3's listed in LW. The id tag info tends to make LW do this. Suspicions are that it is related to Java. Remedy is to not hover your cursor over mp3's unless absolutely necessary. If this continues I'd suggest you see an eye specialist & ask for tinted glasses. (small joke!) :D :cool: |
Whoops! Apologies if you do have a condition!. |
no i dont have epilepsy :)....it's not just when i hover over an mp3...its everywhere and only when i move the mouse....the entire window flashes...where can i get the newest java updates??....thanks |
i am using xp...what is DC++? |
For the latest Java 1.4 from here & 1.5 from another source here: http://www.java.com/en/download/windows_automatic.jsp http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp As I suggested in my 1st post, just try to avoid having your mouse cursor hovering over the mp3 listed for too long. It's a habit you can develop t always keep the cursor away from mp3's unless you specifically want to find out more info about them. There's also no guarantees that updating Java will fix the issue. It's a problem that could be around for some time yet. Java is still developing. Peerless can tell you what DC++ is (Direct Connect protocol.) |
