it does this to me when i try and preview using limewire!

you may not need any codecs! try this;

close limewire down go to your incomplete folder, usually c:\documents and settings\yourname\incomplete...

Select the file you wish to preview. (right click, then open with and select media player or similar).. it should now work..
if its ok, exit out and reopen limewire...

please note, when clicking on the x in the limewire window, all this usually does is minimise, make sure you exit using your taskbar! and dont worry when you reopen limewire your downloads will continue from where you left off!

hope this works!

I likewise open directly from the incomplete folder rather than use LW's preview function which then creates a duplicate of the video file which you then later need to delete. But instead of WMP, I use VLC - (click on link) _ (choose nearest mirror site) if you're interested as it has in-built codecs. To see its abilities see http://www.videolan.org/vlc/features.html You can change skins on it also. It's annoying trying to find the correct codec but VLC takes that concern away.
