searchin issue

when i try to search an item, the only apparent action seems to be the lime spinning in the corner......the screen used to show what was being searched and the files would appear the instant they were found....now, the "downloading" screen stays on and only the lime spins.....there is no obvious way to tell if the item has been searched, found, lost, eaten, gone in worm hole, etc.....everything was fine until today......any ideas as to what might be going on?

At the top of the download-left of the download area are two arrows -- an up & down arrow. Click the down arrow and search results will re-appear.

tried it and nothing happened....the left and right arrows seem to work but nothing happend when clicking on up or down......

any other suggestions???

You're not clicking on the right arrows, then. You can also drag the top of the downloads area down.

well, there are only four arrows and the left and right arrow work when i click them but the up/down do not.....interesting new problem......i have just tried to drag download bar down, not able to move it....now the arrows are not working all together.......ok, after trying to continuesly (sic) click on the arrows, the left and right arrows work again but now it makes things appear only in full screen instead of half screen like before.....obviously, i'm having an issue with having the screen read what i want it to do.....is this perhaps a java issue?.....any thoughts on why things were working fine up until today?
