![]() I just started with limewire about a week ago. I have Windows ME on an older computer. I had no problem installing it, running it, or downloading, but occassionally my computer would freeze--not just lw but everything. I kept having to ctl-alt-delete to reboot. I was looking around for help and saw that I should upgrade from java 1.3 to 1.4, so I did that. Now the computer doesn't freeze, but lw runs EXTREMELY slow. It downloads fine once I can get to that point. It boots and connects fine, but every action I try to take, takes up to 10 minutes! Any suggestions? Thank you! |

![]() joyrider, I suspect a good part of your problem is low RAM. Try shutting down any programs or processes you don't absolutely need before running Limewire. Also in Limewire go to TOOLS, OPTIONS, UPLOADS and set the upload bandwidth slider to about midway. Good luck, Norm
