Never seen this before?

I've been using Limewire in one form or another for many months, often for lengthy periods at a time. Currently I'm using Limewire Pro 4.2.5 in Windows XP. Just noticed, having been away from my p.c. for half an hour or so, that the Quality histogram in the lower l.h.s. of the screen was dark blue and status was displayed as 'Idle'. Only when I moved my mouse did the display change to 'Warming Up' and then through 'Poor' to 'Turbocharged'. During my short absence from the p.c., I had no downloads in progress and on my return two uploads were evident. Never seen this before- can someone please enlighten me as to why this happens?
