i have a p2 300 with 224 megs of ram, stb4400 riva tnt video card, ensoniq
audio pci sound card and 2 hard drives one 10 gig and one that is 30 gigs..
i am running win2000 pro. and loging in as administrator. everytime i start limewire my system freezes period. cant do nothing but reboot. any help would be appreciated. not a blue screen just freezes up. i hope i get an answer here cause i have notice in the forum that there is NEVER a reply to a thread that has a subject of system crash

Were there any errors reported when LimeWire was installing? Did Java 2 Install correctly? It's in your Add/Remove Programs list on Win 98, but I can't remember if it's called the same thing in Win2k or not. If Java is not in the list, go to

http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/jre/

and download the approriate installer. Install Java again (after having uninstalled the previous installation FIRST) and try it out.

same problem here, running on Windows 95.
I removed Limewire, Java Runtime, reinstalled both (with no apparent problems) but still no good.

Limewire launches only after many minutes and then, often, everything freezes. Not always -- I have downloaded 3 whole MP3s! -- but more often than not. Nothing to do but reboot.

Any ideas?
