Hey, I have the same problem in Limewire, but it's worse... CPU use gets so high that I can barely move my mouse! I have waited for Limewire to settle down, and finish scanning all of my shared files (which takes a while, because there's over 15,000 of them). Once it has done this, it does settle down for a bit, but then periodically jumps to 100%. I have even tried changing the processes priority in Windows Task Manager, but it just dips for a few seconds, then returns to 100%. This is really annoying, as Limewire is such a great piece of software. I would appreciate any suggestions! (I have tried everything in this thread, but had no luck so far...) |

At last!!!!,This solves my problem of 100% CPU use.I've been looking for the reason for about a year and Lowering my File sharing from 40000 files to 1600 files WORKS .Not a firewall problem (thought it was Zonealarm pro-Cpu use problem) THANK YOU!!!
