![]() I just installed 4.2.6 and rebooted, etc. Looking around, I selected the library tab, and it was showing the correct set of files. A little later, I looked at the Monitor tab, and saw that a file was uploading that was *not* from my library folder. I killed it, then went to options, and looked at the library file spec, which was OK. Looking around for the offending file, I found it was present in an unshared subfolder at the same level as the one I do share, but I was also downloading the same file again on the download page and had 70% of it in. So it could have been either of those files that was erroneously uploading, or it might have been caused by the odd presence of both. My file structure is such that all of the downloads come into "shared". I sort them from there into many subfolders below "shared" having different names. One of these subfolders is my library folder, also named "shared". So my library file spec is "...\shared\shared". I believe 4.2.6 was uploading out of one of the other "...\shared\*" folders, but it could have been uploading from the download page. Maybe this is an item that slipped through beta and is yet again one more thing to add to your already burdensom regression test. |

![]() Hi whizbang, What you saw was LimeWire's "partial file sharing" (PFS). PFS allows LimeWire to immediately share back files you are downloading. If you view the 'Incomplete' folder in the library, incomplete files that are eligable for PFS are listed in black. Files that aren't eligable are listed in red (much the same way normal files in the library are listed in red before they are shared). If you don't want LimeWire to share partially downloaded files, you can uncheck this option in your Options. I believe the choice is part of the upload options. |
