Missing components I've recently installed Limewire 1.6 and have noticed several missing components. First, under options, there is no "apply" button to apply the changes. Second, the "connect/disconnect" button doesn't show. Third, I am unable to exit and have to shut the program down using Task Manager. I've uninstalled and reinstalled with no luck. What's happened? |
I'm using Windows 2000. None of the button options are available. I have gotten the following error message: LimeWire version 1.6d Java version 1.3.1 from Sun Microsystems Inc. Windows 2000 v. 5.0 on x86 Free/total memory: 1807360/3891200 java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no LimeWire16d in java.library.path at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadLibrary(Unknown Source) at java.lang.Runtime.loadLibrary0(Unknown Source) at java.lang.System.loadLibrary(Unknown Source) at com.limegroup.gnutella.gui.notify.WindowsNotifyUse r.<init>(WindowsNotifyUser.java:20) at com.limegroup.gnutella.gui.notify.c.<init>(c.java: 42) at com.limegroup.gnutella.gui.notify.c.<clinit>(c.jav a:18) at com.limegroup.gnutella.gui.Initializer.b(Initializ er.java:129) at com.limegroup.gnutella.gui.Main.main(Main.java:16) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Native Method) at RunLime.main(RunLime.java:70) |
Similar phenomenon have been been reported by others. In one instace, the user had no search field to to type in searches. Quite bizzarre. LimeWire had responded by stating that they were looking into the problem, but had not been able to recreate the problem on their computers. I am not sure if your's fall under the same category, but I know it is NOT the same as others since you ARE receiving error messages. I know I'm not much help, but I just wanted to let you know that you aren't the first to experience something like this. :-) |
Thanks for the update. At least I know I'm not the only one having problems with version 1.6. In the meantime, I've reinstalled 1.4 and have had no problems with it. As a sidenote, when I first installed version 1.6, I lost all of my email address book . . . an interesting coincidence? |
