![]() This is what happens... I open limewire and can use it for about 30 mins sometime turbo charged A message pops up saying limewire cannot detect an internet connection I close limewire, and exit tray icon I can only close aol by using the three fingered salute (alt, ctrl, del) I cannot reconnect to aol and have to restart the computer On shutdown the computer freezes when saving settings I press restart button Sometimes on startup, during scan disk, several files need to be truncated - usually aol files sometimes ccApp files Sometimes when i then reconnect to aol it needs to search for the modem. After that aol runs fine. Things I have done..... I have removed the rubbish that comes with aol and i dont believe i have their firewall running I have configured nortons to allow limewire I have deleted the preferences file and turned off automatic startup I have downloaded and installed the Java RE update 1 I have repaired limewire through add/remove programmes and every other suggestion i have found on this forum I am using Windows XP with sp2, AOL9 and limewire basic So why, after doing all of that will it still not work???? ![]() Last edited by Mandarin; January 5th, 2005 at 12:30 PM. |
